ANZAC Day

I am pleased that our students understand and appreciate what we have in Australia today, because it also reflects that they have an appreciation of the importance of ANZAC Day. We were the largest represented school in attendance at this year’s Anzac Day service. Not only that, we had students and parents attend services on the outskirts of Gayndah. We owe a great debt to those who have fought and continue to fight for the freedom we enjoy as a nation. There is no better way to show our gratitude than to turn up to ANZAC Day marches as a tangible sign of respect and to promote the value of freedom. Thank you for showing your support, whether it was a dawn service, a march or simply lighting a candle and standing at the end of the drive way at dawn….our students see the significance of this day because of how we value it as a school community. It was a great affirmation of the work parents and staff are doing to both inform and to form the young people who will lead us in the future.
